Abstract:
Asleep in the Light – is a coming of age story about life in America during the Cultural Revolution. Patrick Callahan was a fourth generation immigrant who was born in the golden age known as Camelot. His parents and Church gave him a moral compass. Revolutionaries had long ago secured his freedom and the Greatest Generation had just poured out their blood to maintain it, but shortly after his birth the society was shattered. Why? What happened? Patrick vividly shares his experiences during the invasion no one saw coming. Parents, pastors, politicians and citizens alike were all Asleep in the Light.
