Abstract:
Turner’s Words… Achieving Freedom is an historical novel set in America during the chaotic years of the new nation’s founding. Fictional characters interact with historical persons over the years of the Revolutionary War. Then they are active in the creation of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

All of the events, great and small, are seen through the character’s perspective. This book (and its predecessor companion volume, Turner’s Worms…Realizing Expectations), tells the epic story of freedom—of America from England, of the Negroes from slavery, and of women from male domination.
