The Log Chute ride went up and down through a bunch of passages. We saw diorama-like scenes as we passed through some dark tunnels and squinted as we came out into the light. Jak kept pushing Nicholas as if he was going to push him out of the ride. Nicholas just laughed.
Did you see that? Nicholas asked as we came into the light. He pointed towards an eating area, but there were so many people we couldnt see who he was talking about. What are you talking about, Nicholas? Jak had a look on his face like Nicholas was crazy. I saw a little kid. He couldnt be past, like,... first grade, but hes all alone, or at least he looks like it. Dont you think thats a little strange?
That is a little weird. I kind of thought out loud, Well, we can talk to him if hes still hanging around here after we go on a couple more rides.
Shows how much you care now, huh Summer?
Be quiet, Jak! I shot back.
All of the sudden Nicholas told us to shut up. Wait a second, where did he go? He questioned.
Who? The kid or Jak? Marisol asked. We both laughed.
The KID! There he is! 10:21 A.M. Written by Nicholas And there he was. As we were moving on the ride I saw that this little kid had just bumped into a lady who had her hands full of shopping bags and a purse on her shoulder. The lady dropped all of the bags and her purse slipped off her shoulder. I could see that she was saying something to the kid but I couldnt hear because we were too far away.
The kid bent down and helped her pick her things up but, if my eyes werent mistaken, he helped himself to the cell phone that was in the purse.
Hey, did you see that? I asked them.
What? asked Summer.
That kid. Hes stealing something.
You must be seeing things. Why would a kid need to steal?
