Let Every Day Be Christmas
Christmas – a time of brightness, Lit trees all around; Joyful bells ring out, The spirit of giving abounds.
Children’s faces brightly shining With smiles all aglow, Excitement in their eyes, Hoping for a Christmas snow.
People are somewhat kinder, Spreading goodwill and cheer, Sharing with the needy From hearts that are sincere.
The sick are not forgotten, Those lonely included too; Reaching out to them Declares the spirit anew
Gathered in celebration, Laying quarrels and pain aside, With a promise to be more loving, Every day let Christmas abide.
In this season of belief reborn And faith and hope aplenty The future beams ever bright Warming the hearts of many.
May this season’s beauty Be displayed every day And the spirit of Christmas Be shared in every way.
The Essence of Christmas
Some hope for many presents And gifts on Christmas Day, Thinking that they will bring joy, Found untrue to their dismay.
Thinking joy will be found In things to be possessed Can leave an empty feeling And lead to a fruitless quest.
Christmas is not receiving All that we can possess But giving from the heart Part of our very best.
The blessing is found in giving; Being Christmas’ true definition, In life’s entire journey Perhaps the sole ambition.
Let us endeavor to be givers, Putting others before ourselves - This is the Season’s message – For within such hearts love dwells
Visions of Christmas
She’s blinded by years of living Seeing only points of light, Scales now removed from her eyes, Christmas visions are very bright.
A glowing Christmas tree With ornaments adorned, Children’s faces aglow, The season’s memories fond.
Memories of past times Being shared at a feast; Warm embraces of sweet love Fill hearts with joy and peace.
Presents beautifully wrapped And placed beneath the tree Awaiting eager hands, Displaying jubilee.
Bells loudly ringing out, Carolers are warmly dressed Trumpets also playing, All enjoying this Christmas fest
Etched forever in her heart Christmas visions she still sees Though her eyes are dimmed by living, In Christmas joy she still believes.
Although Apart, Together in Heart
As the beautiful sights and sounds Announce the joys of Christmas, My heart feels melancholy Because someone is missing.
There’s no sound of their laughter Or their soft-spoken words, No treasured embraces, Or breathless whispers of love heard.
Not here to place a star High on the family tree Or taste Grandma’s sweet treats – How I miss their pleasant glee!
With our cherished memories, And hearts filled with love for them, The knowledge that they are fine Is more precious than all gems.
Although we are apart, You’re in our hearts and minds; In spirit we are with you At this special Christmas time.
The Spirit of Christmas
As we enter the Christmas season Let’s be filled with love and peace; May our hearts reach out to others And all our disharmony cease.
Let memories of holidays past Awaken deep emotions in us That we may spread love around And treat each other just.
May we give of ourselves To those in loneliness And show the joys that come From forgiveness and kindness.
A true holiday spirit Warms and fills the heart with love While sharing and really caring Shows a Spirit from above.
