The Box
I gave you something very special. Something you should cherish. Something you should take care of. I gave you my heart, and the best parts of my soul. From the deepest corner of myself I found unused treasures, as if from a dusty attic, and I brought them out for you. And inside I had forgotten my pride, anger, and sorrow. I wanted you to love me, every part. From my bad side to my golden secrets. And you, with no faith in yourself, and no knowledge of true love, with fragile hands, dropped my box of precious treasures. Dropped them at my feet and fled. And I tried to piece them together, but the fall had crushed my soul, shattered my dreams, broken promises. And in the midst of healing myself, I realized why you'd hurt me so. You loved me, but the box was too heavy for you.
Dark
Dark.
That's what it is that surrounds me. That's what protects me while I sleep. That's what scares me when I wake. That's what I long for when I feel I'm filled with it. Dark.
Why does it feel so safe to be in it? Why does it hide you while you sleep? Why does it hide your enemies while you sleep? Is it helping you...
Darkness.
Is it the flip side of light? Or a thing all its own?
It's a good frame for my dreams
sometimes.
You Are My home
You are my home. Wherever you may go on this earth, you take me with you. However many years stand between us, or miles on top of miles, I feel a pull to you always. I know where I best may sleep. I know with you I can be at ease. I know, and have known since we first met, that you are now, and will always be, my home. The Grave and Dying Flowers
The grave and dying flowers lying in the grass. A stone for many slumbers covering the ash. The withered earthly body destroyed beneath the ground. The mourners left above her. Still tears falling down. The dying blood red roses lying in her case. The eyes we all remember that time cannot erase. The beating heart still aching. The feet that touch the ground. The demons left to conquer for those standing 'round. They walk upon your resting place and mourn for mortal things: how to endure this dirty world and all its earthly sins. Where fragile lovers never love, and fools and harlots thrive on broken glass of innocence that lies beneath the lies.
