An action-adventure novel played out in the Sierra Nevada high country wilderness. Pursuit of five desperate fugitives by an unrelenting FBI agent and Sheriff’s posse, provides moment-to-moment human drama and suspense.

Abstract:
Ben Garrett, wilderness survival expert and part-time pilot, on a routine charter flight to Northern California, is brutally hijacked over the Sierra Nevada by his four passengers who have just ripped off $3 million in cash from a Reno casino.

Garrett becomes an unwilling accomplice when the twin-engine Cessna crash-lands in desolate high country. Unless he applies his wilderness savvy to help them reach their hideout on foot he and a woman semi-hostage will be killed.

The desperate fugitives endure hunger, the elements, and internal conflict to evade the massive air-ground pursuit.

An engrossing page-turner, with a plot that hasn't been beaten to death in other thrillers. It's packed with vivid visuals and real-life characters that had me mentally casting their roles for a movie with big name actors. I'll be watching for a sequel, and the sooner the better. Hats off to a brilliant new author!
