This entire town is a facade. Lace gloves and Southern accents camouflage deep-rooted resentment, lies, deception, sex, murder and revenge.

Abstract:
Both of JoVonna’s parents end up dead within months of each other, and she knows who is responsible. She has a plan for revenge, even though the guilty person is already dead. A very lucrative business deal between JoVonna’s father and the former Mayor, Virgil Billford, resulted in JoVonna’s father walking away from the deal with an enormous amount of money, while the former mayor received a pittance. From his grave, Virgil turns the town upside down, leaving stipulations in his Will that lead to lies, fierce competition, theft, tears, cheers and murder.

JoVonna solicits help from the current Mayor, Marcus Brackner, offering him “anything” if he can undo what the former mayor has done and restore her family’s reputation. Marcus can’t help her. Virgil has left a Will with instructions that prevent the changes JoVonna is seeking.

Once I started reading it was hard for me to put the book down. Just when I thought I had figured it out something else happened. The author did a great job at putting you in the story to make you think that you are right there with them. I can't wait to read the next book....
