Abstract:
THE QUOTIENT CLUB introduces Joe Hara six months after retirement as homicide detective for the L.A.P.D. When his former police chief’s godson, president of a Napa winery, dies suspiciously, Joe is asked to investigate. He uncovers a series of mysterious deaths linked with one of the world’s largest fractional aircraft ownership programs. Posing as a prospect, Joe meets Jill Riley, a beautiful newspaper journalist writing an article about the rich and their toys. As Joe and his former partner investigate all leads including rumors of Mafia ties, their safety is jeopardized by a killer’s selfish motives.
