Abstract:
Divorce is rarely pretty or pleasant, but we often forget how bewildering and scary it can be. Especially if you are only 13 years old and your parents are battling for custody of you. Meet Maggie, your average, well-adjusted, suburban preteen and follow her roller coaster ride from middle school normalcy to a tug of war between Mom and Dad. What comes next? Lawyers, counselors, and the threat of being uprooted and moved to the big city. None of the choices are hers and the final decision will come from a judge.
