Abstract:
The Master Poet is a three-act play telling the story of a wandering poet who has a chance meeting with Little Girl who wants to learn how to read, but has never had the opportunity to learn. She convinces Master Poet to teach her how to read, and as a result many lives are affected.

This teaching comes to the attention of the mayor of Blakely who will do anything to prevent this from happening. Master Poet leaves Blakely; but Little Girl, with the help of her friend Max, reads an “Important Notice,” which changes everything.
