Abstract:
Hiphop H.A.I.K.U. Vol. I is a synergy of passions. The passions two artists share for Hiphop Culture. Poet Sha’Ifa Mami Watu and Graffiti Writer, KAS both pay homage to the great sphere of creative influence that is the Hiphop cipher. The moods and emotions invoked by the haiku and the stimulating calligraphic stylings of the graffiti tags, lures the reader into this sphere, leaving room for your own imaginings. H.A.I.K.U., (Higher Awareness Is Kept Underground), with Graffiti T.A.G.S., (Taking All Graffiti Seriously), creates a world in which “one can of wisdom liberates a thousand eyes.”
