One summer day two impressionable farm lads encounter a burly stranger from “here, there, and everywhere” who tells captivating tales of daring travel and adventure. Which stories are true, which fiction?

Abstract:
The anchor story, “The Little White House,” is about two boys in depression era Kansas and their encounter with a burly stranger who shares tales of daring and adventure—which true, which fiction? The several other stories offer humor, adventure, pathos, and range from the touching story of the little dog Skippy that taught all a lesson about expressing affection when able-to a battlefield in Korea where a dying man pleads for a comrade to deliver a letter to his sweetheart back home-to the ordinary guy in Michigan shoveling snow one minute and the next minute being received by his “acclimator” in Heaven.

If you have lived on a farm as a child the first two stories in this book might stir some fond memories. The other short stories may be amusing or provoking. The frustrating thing is I can't figure out how to order more.

Thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories – they conjured up some great childhood memories of my own. Life in America back then seemed to be a kinder, “gentler” time where life moved more slowly and stories were meant to be shared. Hope to read more from this author!
