Abstract:
A spur of the moment trip to a cabin in Lake Plano turns violent for Detective Jessica Beck as she witnesses her partner, Detective Leslie Ford being shot in front of her. The intruder flees the cabin before Jessica can return gunfire. Instantly, she doubts this is a random incident; a robbery attempt. Why Leslie?

Jessica was assaulted and nearly killed in her home in Brooklyn months earlier. If not for her daughter Raven coming home early, she would have died. The assailants were never apprehended.

Was the bullet meant for Jessica and if so, are they waiting for her?
