Abstract:
Circa 1949 a reportedly dead Navy nurse turns a chunk of petrified wood into a living but extinct sapling. The FBI dispatches agent Frank Ryder of the Extraterrestrial Task Force to hunt down this woman. She only travels historic Route 66, searching for the “dimensional conduit”, a time portal and her only way home. As Ryder closes in, the newly created CIA assigns its own agent to find her. Now there are two rival agencies searching for the same woman, each with a different agenda. Ryder, unsure if he’s falling in love with a beautiful body or if he likes the alien within, agrees to help her.
