Abstract:
Extraordinary conflicts arise for Jack Hobson’s family when his ex-lover, Marta, presumed dead, is repatriated in a near catatonic state after sixteen years of torture and imprisonment. Jack’s wife, Jo, is torn between fear of losing her husband to his former lover and empathy for Marta. As Marta recovers, she links together a past treason to a current conspiracy and becomes a pawn in a complex web of intrigue and betrayal. The entire Hobson family is thrown into a world of violence in which they must fight for their lives while somehow resolving their own complex relationships.
