Abstract:
The Rise and Greed of Multinational Landlords: Billions for the Rich—Pennies for the Poor, deals with real life, real time situations. These problems of low wage, poor working conditions and lack of insurance coverage affect the lives of all Americans—especially the middle class. Those on the bottom rung of the economic ladder are suffering most. We do not need an increase in minimum wage. Workers need a living wage which will pay depending on the region of the country a worker lives. The Military pays housing allowances based on the cost of living by region of the country. The State of Florida pays a higher salary to workers in Miami compared to workers in Jacksonville, Florida who are in the same pay grade. Private companies that have workers deployed worldwide have to use cost of living adjustments by country and region as well. The whole country needs a living wage. No one can live on minimum wage. It is time to get it done!
