Mardy Mae is the mother of three, a son and two daughters, also a grandmother of eleven grandchildren. She was born in Northern California but spent most of her life in Southern Oregon. With a love for the outdoors she moved to a small community on an island in Southeast Alaska five years ago. Having a desire to write this novel but not knowing if she had the ability, spent three years working on it with the encouragement from her husband and children. She is now working on the continuing story in Marlaa’s life.
