The men and women who submitted their personal experiences for this book, and who so commendably served our nation, reside in On Top of the World Communities in Ocala, Florida.

Although they each now hold different lifestyles, they share a bond of experiencing the world as it was during devastating conflict and unrest—a bond of finding something they could take from those experiences and later put word to paper. These stories leave the reader with a keener insight into times, places and the way it was during WWII, Korea and Vietnam.
