Biography:
Pat Roush has worked continuously since 1986 to bring her two kidnapped daughters home from the Middle East. She began a movement for change in the area of international child kidnapping. Due to her lobbying, the U.S. signed the Hague Treaty on civil aspects of international child abduction, the International Parent Kidnapping Act was introduced, and the Office of Children’s Issues was opened at the State Department. The passage of an omnibus bill in 1998, made it possible to withhold the visas to an abductor’s family, and included in the International Religious Freedom Act is a section concerning forced conversion of minor children. Pat produces a San Francisco Cable TV show called, “Children’s Issues” and is the director of the Center for Children’s Issues San Francisco
