As a University Professor of Mathematics Education, Elliott Ostler has a special interest in helping people to learn to use mathematics in non traditional ways. The Chimera Prophecies (his first fiction book) was inspired by his desire to make people more aware of the potential mathematics has to impact our daily lives. In addition to holding advanced degrees in mathematics education, Elliott has also authored texts in algebra and mathematical modeling, and holds a United States Patent on an original invention for helping students synthesize mathematical ideas.
