Ed Wells grew up in Illinois, where he spent long and adventurous summers on the banks of the Mississippi River. After graduation from the University of Illinois, he worked briefly in New York City before entering the Air Force to attend pilot training. Following an eventful career as a fighter pilot, one that included two combat tours in Southeast Asia, he retired and formed his own freight company. He operated it for a dozen years before its recent sale. Free at last to pursue his long-term desire to write, LETHAL CARGO is his first novel.
