Dr. Gil Gockley dedicated forty years to exploring a life path that leads to self-awareness, a love-filled heart, moral character, and spiritual goodness. He earned three graduate degrees, including a doctorate from the University of Rochester in Guidance and Counseling. Professional experiences include working as a guidance specialist and assistant college professor in the fields of counselor education and psychology. Dr. Gockley and his wife Tanya have facilitated groups, couples groups, and spiritual groups at Gockley Institute and at a 12-step counseling center. Together they co-authored several character development programs and a parenting book, Loving is Natural, Parenting is Not. Tanya has a Master of Education degree and contributed to this book as an advisor and editor.
