The author was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Her family owned an island summer house and it was here that her imagination evolved. Early in life, she developed a love for old folklore. When writing her books, she often implements her Swedish heritage and these beliefs. Today, the author resides in New Bern, North Carolina with her husband and two children. Due to her husband’s active duty status as a United States Marine, she has lived in 5 different places since moving to the States 12 years ago. This diversity, excitement, and fast pace is reflected in her writing style.
