Biography:
Malcolm Steinberg is a Cornell University civil engineering graduate. He was an enlisted man in the U.S. Navy in 1945. Steinberg was a Texas Highway Department engineer for forty years. McGraw-Hill published his book Geomembranes and the Control of Expansive Soils in 1998. He wrote reports for the highway department, the Transportation Research Board, and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He co-authored several briefs for the ASCE’s History and Heritage Committees. Steinberg was president of a local ASCE branch and a Texas section and was a district director. He served as president of the San Antonio NW Rotary Club.
