Matt was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. Canada in 1985. His passion for writing began when he took a creative writing class. In 2005 Matt's world was shaken and from the ruins many of his greatest works were born. He lost one of his closest childhood friends to cancer. The loss ultimately lead to clinical depression. Many of Matt's pieces were written in this segment of time until he sought treatment. In addition to his journey with depression, Matt has been on a spiritual journey having been raised a Believer. He rededicated His life to God in 2012.
