Abstract:
People are often surprised to learn of the scientific depth of the Torah. For instance, throughout the creation story, the Torah refers to properties of optical physics such as refraction, reflection, additive and subtractive properties, and the physics of color. Electromagnetic energy traveling the universe and absorption ability of Earth’s atmosphere also have explicit roots in the Torah. Even Einstein’s theories of gravitational influence on light are found within the Torah. This book examines various Torah texts and derives a number of physics properties accordingly. This book is for the scientifically inquisitive with an appreciation for Torah study, and for the student of Torah with a scientific acumen.
