Abstract:
Ray Reed Jazz Originals is a music book for jazz musicians. As such, the story line lies within the music itself. There are swing, be-bop, bossa nova, samba, waltz, ballad, fast, medium and slow tempo compositions which are published for the first time for the enjoyment and use by jazz musicians. The story of the composer/musician, Ray Reed, is additionally provided is some detail in the Foreword to the book. He truly loved and lived this music throughout his life and was one of the most highly respected musicians among his jazz peers and fans.
