REMEMBERING THE INDIAN SCHOOL is a personal account of his experiences as a “minority” student in one of the many schools established for Indians during the years between the Civil War and WWII. He also details many events at the school during the years following his departure from his family home. The school, built in 1920, was demolished in 2003 after undergoing many changes necessitated by a changing society. At the time of its demise, the school was no longer associated with the Stucki family.
