DISCOVERIES A JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE is a delightful book comprised of 17 vignettes. Each story depicts situations, at one time or another, we have experienced or knew of someone who did. The characters portrayed could be our mother or father, sister or brother, aunt or uncle, neice or nephew, friend or enemy. Many of the situations are humorous, some sad, poignent, a few frustrating, one or two mystical, but whatever the emotions, they depict everyday life experiences---a journey through life. Ms. Parker's writing is clear and concise. Any of these short stories could be developed into a powerful novel. There were several that I wish she had. I didn't want to stop reading. Keep the magic, Shirley Ann Parker!
