  A book to keep , 05/17/2007

Joe and I both loved this book. It has some amazing stories of a very difficult life of missionaries at that time in the Australian outback, also some wonderful incidents of God's provision, and his loving care. The book gives a person a true picture of the character of the people of the outback. It's a book we think all Christians should read and in our part of the world we pass it around all we can.

A truly inspiring book about two humble people who were obedient to God's call and who passed on that trait of "obedience" to their children.

I read this book and it really made me realize all the things that these two humble God serving people gave up to spread the gospel. I was totally thrilled with it.

A true story of one man's determination to help emancipate an under-privileged people who could have been wiped out in the so called progress of this modern world. It truly is a story of:- 'The fight for the right to live'

I could not put the book down until I finished it. The real life illustrations were so profound and helped me to see how you can make an imprint on another culture that helps them. I asked, "Am I making an imprint in my culture?"

An interesting story of Faith and Compassion displayed by an American family in their effort to bring souls to Christ at great personal sacrifice as seen thru the eyes of one of the children of missionary parents.

This book invites you to take a journey into the past and experience a different culture through the eyes of one who has been there. God the creator has a personal plan for all peoples and nations, even the aborigines. When a life is yielded to God the results are amazing and leave a lasting legacy as evidenced by two such lives, the parents of the author. While she has tackled an enormous task in retelling the story, the book could have used a bit more editing. Still, all in all, the book is well worth the read!
