The intended Kyushu invasion of the Japanese Home Islands by American forces in late 1945 and the derived affects of this staggering assault and defense that would change international relationships beyond expectations.

Abstract:
In 1945 American and Japanese military planners were respectively preparing for invasion assault and defense of the Home Islands. New and deadly weaponry and tactics were being thrust forward for greater advantage in these most feared battles. The Americans sought unconditional surrender from a nation that understands surrender is the greatest dishonor. Select American leaders moved to deploy at least two of the earth-scorching atomic bombs to coerce Japanese capitulation in an effort to prevent the most horrible invasion ever presented. All that needed to happen was for each atomic bomb to work.

  An Interesting Perspective , 02/08/2006
Reviewer: Paul R. Paridise
“A book of immense historic importance. What would have happened if the first atomic bombs had not exploded? The United States would have invaded Japan. The author has presented a realistic picture of how this would have been accomplished, along with the planning and political maneuvers of the major political and military players of the era.”

"A unique and refreshing story on a different ending to World War II. There are numerous details I never knew anything about. One can easily understand how top decisions were made that soldiers had to carryout. I liked it all the way through." -- Stf. Sgt. Leonard Gladowski, 1st Marine Division

History As Few Would Know It. , 06/19/2006
Reviewer: Maj. James Duggan
"This isn't a story, it's a textbook. Where did you (author) get all this detail? I am just amazed how you were able to stitch all the events, personalities, and circumstances together. One can easily track the daily events and understand their impact as they unfolded. This is good reading."
