Gary M Allen Sr
Introduction
Welcome to my book of learning the Technology of Mixology and the art of successful bartending! As an instructor in this field of Mixology, I will give you pointers that will make your bartending job easier and your drinks tastier and smoother.
You will also be able to use worthwhile suggestions which I've gained from my own personal experience from over 24 years of serving the public as a bartender. These will enable you to become a confident, skilled professional in the Mixology field, along with providing you with the basic fundamentals needed.
Because I enjoy people, bartending seemed to be a great business for me to get into. It is definitely a people-business and those individuals who get into this profession must practice the art of LISTENING and DISCIPLINE regarding when and when not to speak. In this book, I share with you the important pros and cons that will help you become a good bartender, as well as a successful one. I will also teach you many ways to increase your $$$ tips.
Upon completion of this bartending book, you will know what you're doing and truly enjoy the work. Bartending is a great profession and a fun one! You'll meet different people from different lands, cultures, and professions. You can make a lot of money as a bartender or a little, depending on how serious you are and how much time you want to devote to this field.
Drinks are enjoyed and served everywhere, every day. Bartenders are in demand full and part time in businesses such as restaurants, bars, bowling alleys, hotels, temporary services, casinos, banquet halls, nightclubs, country clubs and catered events. Other socials where mixologists are hired include anniversaries, college graduations, dances, fundraising events and holiday celebrations. Need I go on? This list is endless!
I have written this book for easy reading and understanding of materials which include my own mastered and taught techniques most of which are NOT taught in other bartending books or courses. So, study hard and remember that, like everything else in life, you'll only get out of this manual whatever time, effort and practice you put into it.
