The exploration of the frontiers of the old west, the mysterious frontiers of the ocean depths and the vast frontiers of space will seem insignificant when the unused explorative abilities of the human brain are gradually mutated to reach full potential. We often say just about anything is possibleAND IT IS! The geniuses of the past and of the present show us that enormous possibilities exist in most of us no matter what our station in life. Therefore, we ask, can anyone of us capture some of this genius?
It may sound far-reaching to us now, but by encouraging our inquisitive creative nature, we cant help but be spurred on until the human brain reaches its full potential in generations to come. The explorative human brain is the great equalizer of society. There is just no cornering the market on creativity, because our unique individuality, dreams and imaginations are inherent in every one of us, regardless of race, gender or creed. We must first recognize that this ability is present and then capitalize on it by learning how to use and expand it.
It is however, freedom that reigns; seemingly only when the brain is uninhibited and free of all encumbrances do those mysterious inspirations seep into our minds. Certainly, we are not all geniuses, but all of us have some genius and can draw on our imagination to dream and create. The prize goes to those who learn how to capture their imaginative dreams, and it sets those who do capture their imaginings apart from those who allow their imaginings to fade and disappear, perhaps never to surface again. Capturing our creative thoughts is a habitual process that can be learned by each of us and taught to just about everyone from the very young to the elderly. As a society we enhance this great creative ability when we encourage the very young to be free to dream, create and imagine. There is so much we can do for our babies, preschool and school children (without force-feeding them), and yes, even for ourselves, by nurturing these creative juices flowing within all of us.
These genetically and environmentally imprisoned gifts stirring within us can be encouraged to flourish beyond our wildest dreams. It begins by developing a habit of recording each significant thought on paper or voice so that it can be reviewed later and further developed.
As you read on you will learn how to develop your creative abilities, it will also be proven to you that it can be done with examples of actual mental creations and how they evolved. This book itself is one of these thought on thought creations. If one person can create, we can all create; albeit to varying degrees and keeping in mind that age can be an asset, not a hindrance.
For the purposes intended by this book, creating is any endeavor that results from the use of these creative abilities and imaginings. Whether it be writing a book, designing an invention, writing lyrics, writing comedy, painting a picture or even writing a news article we create. We create when we design and build a driveway or sidewalk with different colors and shapes of bricks. We create when we build a fence on the farm, write a joke, write a song or paint a house. Yes, even a small child arranging pebbles on a sidewalk is creating.
We all create, whether we realize it or not, and the aim of this book is to enable you to realize this and expand your creativity!
Children take naturally to compartmentalizing mentally, especially if they are exposed to second and third languages from their very beginning. See the section on developing creativity by language learning. Language learning will push the creative bounds of the brain at any age especially the young.
Music is the drumbeat that threads through all human kind and calms our temperament as we intermingle our lives with friends, strangers and loved ones. Music allows us a time out from the mental stresses that can permeate our whole being to our very soul. Not only is music part of who we are, it is essential that each of us, in our own way, partake of its soothing, spiritual almost medieval effect as we go about our daily lives. See the section on Music and Creativity.
Are our Children Losing Out
Every child is a precious gem that should be allowed to develop their own shape and hew as they grow to enhance every sparkle and enlighten the world with sequestered knowledge. In most cases we treat all children alike when they start school, we couldnt be more wrong with this attitude. We treat our cattle on a farm differently, we treat our prisoners each to his/her own demeanour, so whats up? Who is more important?
Society should take whatever steps and spend whatever money is required to MAKE SURE no child is allowed to stagnate in either Category 1 or Category 3. Once a child starts school, society as a whole has a vested interest and no stone should be left unturned in making sure a child is assessed properly and more importantly given a curriculum that allows it to expand its knowledge from where their status was when they started school. The problem begins with the fact that children starting school have such a wide variance of learning before they get there even though they were relatively equal when they wee born.
A Solution to the World Water Crisis
Enough books have been written about water shortage problems, water desalination, water pollution and water purification that if all the pages of each book and conference meeting speeches were put end to end, they may possibly stretch around the world. There have been many, many seminars and conferences to discuss a solution to this problem for decades, but everyone is frustrated by its magnitude. The enormity of the world water shortage problem intimidates the experts to such a degree that they almost throw up their hands in futility.
Society has always wanted to deliver water from the have plenty areas to the have not areas. However, there has always been a big BUT obstacle as a deterrent to any action being taken. BUT what do you do to the water when you deliver it? To deliver the water to an open reservoir system always seems so futile. The water mingles with already polluted water and of course, there is evaporation. Its almost like delivering the water into a wasteland.
