The Messenger then turned toward the crowd.
Why do you follow a man such as this, who is at base nothing more than a blind dogmatic sheep? Does he truly even represent Sosphes?
Oh the madness that ambition has invented. Good or evil, it exists as the choice within choice. When one believes that that which exists in his immediate surrounding is all there is, wont he forget or pervert love in order to wield the available on his own behalf? If one knows that much more exists, do they then love purely? Or do they attempt love out of obligation? To know and love yourself is to know and love your brethren, who are you. Ambition at the expense of another is ambition at the expense of ones self; and lack of immediate ambition, which serves as ambition for the eternal, is a fine line that borders evil and hypocrisy.
I often see many of you who wear apparel that serves to remind you to base your actions in life according to how Sosphes would act. Yet you tarnish his name with your interpretations of his words. I ask you, would Sosphes ever give ten percent of his livelihood to a man like this; to a Religious organization? Or would he give what he would to the Creator?
What is true? To spend your own time and effort in aiding the Creators will with your capital, or to give it to another man, or organization who must dip into it in order to fuel their own existence? In the days following Sosphes, his followers did not give ten percent. It was said that they gave everything, and everything was distributed evenly for the livelihood of all. Can a man do such a thing in this day and age? Would societys current configuration allow this? Would a man ever choose to do this? Not a one of us here has.
I point out for you this, since you have continued to refuse to notice it. You and your organizations pick and choose as you see fit from several covenants principles, though only one covenant rules. Foul interpretation and expectation have led over time to this utter corruption of the concepts of tithing and giving. Love aside; you are bound by nothing, save your minds, and your organizations.
Though tithing is a true principal, our Creator, being capable of producing anything and everything that we could ever even conceive, does not need or desire your physical wealth. Our Creator would never demand that you serve an organization, or temple created by men. You are the Temple, you are the Body, and the Kingdom lies within. Seek first and foremost that Kingdom, and the righteousness thereof, and everything else will fall into place. Hear for the first time what the one whom you call Master intended for you to understand.
