INTRODUCTION
Life itself is perhaps the greatest poem ever written. It seems then to make sense that all of life's' experiences themselves create individual poems.
The poetry that follows reflects the many experiences of my life. Each poem relates to a specific time, place, person or emotion and simply illustrates that in the passage through life, in all of the good and bad times, there really is beauty to be found.
I chose poetic form to deliver a message from which all can take heart.
EMOTION The mysterious force that leads us and controls us we know as Emotion. Constantly it seems to carry us to the heights of joy and then drop us into the depths of despair.
We never know quite how to rule it, but we do learn how to manage and control it. The secret for each person is to never let it master you.
ANGER
As the fierce beast that it can be, Like a silent predator it lies. And appears for all to see An image in our eyes.
It takes first form within our hearts And then proceeds to grow. The mind takes hold with delight A bitter seed to sow.
The common sense and love we have Begins to take flight. The soul now becomes very dark As though it were night. This emotion that now takes hold Triggers a great debate. Between two forces deep within Known as love and hate. Into this arena enter two more foes Our sense of wrong and right. The human spirit may now take over To end this tragic fight.
For man was not meant to be Full of rage and pain. And anger truly is An emotion to disdain.
