Jude 1:3 exhort the churches that they should earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints.
Looking back at the book of the Acts of the Apostles, you will find that it doesnt have an ending. It is my belief according to the Word of God that these acts should continue in our churches today.
If you are true a believer, signs should be following you. Demons will be cast out; the sick will be healed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Word of God declares greater works shall we do because he goes to the Father. (KJV).
We need to take spiritual inventory of our lives and compare it to the Apostles if we are going to proclaim the apostles doctrine.
We must follow the instructions of Apostle Peter, Paul, James, John and the rest of the apostles.
God has not changed, people have. What he done for others he will do the same for those who diligently seek him.
God is not a man that he should lie, neither the Son of Man that he should repent. If he said it, he will make it good.
When you obey God, he will work for you. The Bible tells us when a mans ways please God; he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him-- Proverbs 16:7.
Call unto him and he will answer you, and show you great and mighty things that you know notJeremiah 33:3.
Trust the Lord! Believe his Word! And he will work for you!!! God is not short concerning his promises. What he said in his Word, that he will do.
God is not a God of violence; he is a God of Peace. God does not want to harm you, but he is there to help you in any situation. Just trust him and believe, he knows what you needs. Whether you know it or not, hes there all the time. He is able to supply your needs.
God said in his Word that what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Mark 11:24 (KJV)
The Word of God proclaims that we must have Faith in God and without it, it is impossible to please him.
Faith is having confidence in someone or something that you trust to be reliable.
Lets look at the word Credit. When you go to a bank to get a loan, the Loan officer looks back at your credit history to determine if you are trustworthy and capable of repaying the loan. However, if your credit proves to be okay, you are granted the loan on good faith. Why did the bank give you credit? Simply because you did well with others so they feel you will do the same for them.
Lets look at another familiar example. Every Monday morning or whenever you go to work, you believe that after you have given the company a days or a weeks work you will be paid for that day or that week.
However, while you are actually working, do you have a check in your hand? No, because you went to work on faith. Everyday you punched that clock it was an act of faith in your employer. You waited patiently for time to pass so you could be paid.
One day we were in debt and our credit was extremely back. So God decided to give us a second chance by sending his Son, Jesus to settle our debt.
In return, he only wants us to give him some credit with us on a lifetime account. He gave us all he had, his only son, Jesus. He was a ransom for our freedom from HELL. All he wants from us is faith in him. Just believe that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him. Hebrew 11:6.
Well, if you were to look back over Gods Report, you will find that he is never late. He is always on time. He will perform whatever you may ask or think. While you are yet speaking, he is able to bring it to pass. His Report goes back to the framing of the world. He is more than able to perform whatever you need.
Our Father Abraham didnt stagger at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform it.(KJV) Romans 4:20-21.
Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. What is substance? Substance is the physical materials it takes to make something. For example, you start to bake a cake. First you gather your cake mixer, eggs, oil and water. You dont have a cake, but you have the ingredients. These are your substances.
When you apply this concept to your spiritual life, you look at the potential substance to conquer your situations. There is no evidence because I dont have a cake, however; after putting those ingredients together and putting them in the oven, I sit patiently waiting for my cake.
So then how do I get this faith? From the KJV we learned that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Moreover, how do we know that the Word was heard?
Simply because you begin taking it off the page and applying it to your life. In other words, you begin to do what it says.
We must feed the spiritual man with the pure Word of God because we need a constant reminder of who God really is. We must know that Gods credit is more than excellent at all times.
We must renew our minds daily through the Word of God. The more we read the Word and apply it to our lives the more our minds are renewed. Then we begin to speak the Word and do what it says.
