Excerpt
Everyone knows what the rut feels like. Youre getting up every day, going to work or school, running errands, working side jobs, dating or working on a relationship, visiting family, and making the obligatory phone calls to friends. Yet, something is missing. You feel like youre just going through the motions, constantly trying to stay afloat.
Ive been there. Weve all been there. The constant fight to never return there is the premise of this book and the entire Get A Life Campaign
How did this happen? Its easy. Somewhere between finishing school and the real world, you grew up. With growing up and taking on more responsibility, you started to see why your parents told you to enjoy your youth while you could. Now, you feel like your responsibilities outweigh your free time, and when you get free time, youre completely exhausted! Not to mention that putting yourself first is not only selfish, its something immature people do. You have bills to pay, a career to further, a diploma to grabyou dont have time to have fun, right?
More importantly, you forgot about your needs. The real world did a number on you. You stopped enjoying the things you used to enjoy because they didnt yield income or cost too much to maintain. Youre undervalued at work, you constantly have too much on your mind, and you want to break free. Welcome to first stage of freedom.
