Evidence from the Spirit of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan
Jesus gave the aim when he first met Peter, who was already doing something. Peter wasn’t lazy, but he wasn’t in the right job. So Jesus said, if you would come and follow me. I will make you a fisher of men. Doesn’t that tell us what the job of every servant of Allah (God) and His Christ is? It is to be fishermen. That’s why the symbol of the early Christian church-before it became a cross-was a fish.
Fishing is skill. You have to know the fish that you are after. You have to know the bait that the fish likes. Then you have to have skill with your rod. You must know how to angle it. Then, if you catch the fish you have to know what to do. Don’t get excited because the fish is going to tug at the bait and get the hook, but when it gets the hook, the fish will fight against it. So what do you do? You give slack to the line and let the fish tire himself, then you reel him in.
But Jesus didn’t want these old pole fishermen. He said to his disciples, cast your net-the work is too big to be sitting out there with a pole. Some of the disciples would cast the net and work all day but end up with nothing in the net. Then Jesus said, cast your net on the right side. I wondered what that meant. Was it that the fish weren’t all around the boat? Was the left side void? What does that mean, fishermen? Beloved pastors, shepherds of Christ, you are His fishermen. Have you caught any fish?
“Making a Decision”
Before we fish, we have to decide what type of fish we are going after. Once we have decided what type of fish we desire, then we must know where to look. There are two places (1) fresh water and (2) salt water.
Fresh water fish are found in ponds, rivers, and streams. They can be found in our neighborhood on corners (“stream”), our local housing complex (“pond”), or while we are traveling through our cities (“river”).
Our people are in a river of sin, the same river we were brought from, by the grace of Allah (smile). These are places where we can focus on retrieving people who need to eat or feed on the word of God, which is given to us through The Hon. Minister Louis Farrakhan.
The scripture says that when we save a soul, it covers a multitude of sins. I thank God he has allowed me to help him (H.M.L.F.) in his mission.
There is also salt-water fishing: fishing in oceans, estuaries and tidal rivers. Fishing in salt waters attracts fish that are much larger than fish found in freshwater.
Fishing in the oceans (“countries-governments”) or in estuaries (“local or big businesses”) or in the tidal river (“churches, temples etc”) brings us in contact with fish weighing 150lbs-500lbs.
“The equipment needed to fish is called “tackle.”
Tackle implies wrestling…tackle implies tussling…and tackling can even imply combat. (Think about this.)
Tackle is the basic tool used by a fisherman not a computer operator (smile).
The tackle consist of # (1) the rod; (2) the reel; (3) the line and (4) the hooks and lures.
We must keep in mind that for every physical thing, there is a spiritual counterpart:
(1) The rod = you (2) The reel = your mind (3) The line = the word of God (4) Hook and Lures = the methodology or the way you use the word of God
Please remember we are commissioned, as saviours, to bring people from mental death to life.
The old proverb says “you feed a man a fish, you feed him for a day, but you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.”
The scripture reminds us that, “woe to the Shepard who feeds himself and not the flock”; we are blessed to have a Shepard that not only teaches us how to fish but also feeds us. He loves to feed us that which gives us life, the word of God and teaches us how to share with others that life. That Shepard is The Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan.
Tackle: again these are the basic tools that facilitate the catching of fish or guest to Muhammad Mosque. The tackle include: The rod, which is you; The reel, which is your mind; the line, which is the word of God; and The lures or bait, which is the method you use to hook your fish.
The Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan is the example for us to become perfect fishermen. He won churchman of the year in 1985, the Islamic world views him as the hidden Imam Islamic that the world has been looking for; and some Jews are now seeing him as that Elijah or that one who comes after Elijah that will lift fallen humanity.
Paul stated when he was in Rome he did as the Romans.
Our flexibility in the word of God is very important God said he is not a respecter of “persons”. Remember in Christ there is no bond nor free, no Jew or Greek. All are one in the sight of Allah (God) and we must take Allah’s coloring and who is best at coloring than Allah. The Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan has helped us to see and understand that this means that we must view things as Allah does.
