In the Bible, God refers to his own word as being a tool, as seen in Jeremiah 23:29 where it says, “Is not my word like fire,” declares the Lord, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” This hammer is a tool that God has invented and that he has a particular use for. Like other tools, one size does not fit all, nor can one tool do everything. Fortunately for us, there are several more tools mentioned in scripture, each with its own intended purpose. So, even in the kingdom of God, it is important to use the right tool for the right job.
Webster’s Pocket Dictionary defines the word “tool” as: thought, action or item used to perform or receive a desired outcome. So, since God desires a certain outcome; and since he knows all things; then he knows which tool we should use to achieve his desired outcome. That’s why using just any old tool is wrong because only using the right tool brings the outcome desired by God. [From Intro.]
One of the most amazing facts of life is that every person on earth has a dreadful enemy at work against him or her from conception to the day of death. Even non-Christians know that there is a devil out there. Sorry about that; it’s just the way it is! Fortunately for us, in the New Testament, the Lord has provided us with great offensive and defensive weapons that are to be used against our notable enemy, the devil. It is called the “armor of God.” [From page 1]
The reason that I mention the armor of God as a tool is that the armor of God is one of the few creations in existence that work against the devil on our behalf. The worth of it is that if you have it on, it avoids many injuries and prevents the premature death that the devil has planned for you. To put it another way, using this tool enables you to stay in one piece as you proceed through your Christian life. Again, it can keep you from being hurt by the devil and it can save your life.
Of all the spiritual tools that I know, this one amazes me the most. It is called the Love Tool, and what it does is that it installs the love of God in who ever uses it. Its final effect is that it keeps you from losing battles!!!! Because of it, I never lose which totally changes my approach to enemies, wicked authorities and odds stacked heavily against me because “love never fails,” “love always protects,” “God is love,” and much more. [From page 31]
My personal experience is that if you are not feeling well, reading the Healing Scriptures (out loud) or listening to them helps. But if you are sick, sometimes health is not what you are short in; sometimes life is what you are short in. So, in that case, fill up with life by listening to “life” scriptures...[From page 58]
