“Wow, that looks easy,” Horatio said. “I’m next.” Before anyone could say anything, Horatio was in the air. He was saying to himself, Man, this is easy, so he decided to go faster.
Jon and Justin were yelling, “Slow it down!”
Just as Horatio was turning around he tilted his head to the right, his glasses fell off, everything went fuzzy, and he lost his balance.
Horatio came crashing down to the ground, rolling head over feet.
Jon and Justin took a deep breath, Coach yelled “Oooh!” while Tyler and his friend, Iman, were laughing.
Iman shouted, “Hey guys, look over there.”
Tyler said, “Horatio, he’s doing tricks.”
All of the guys in the school were laughing and pointing at him.
When he stopped, he jumped up to his feet and said, “I’m OK, everything’s fine.” He quietly murmured to himself, “Ouch, that hurts.”
Justin and Jon flew over to him.
Justin asked, “Man, are you OK?”
Jon said, “You hit the ground pretty hard and the flips you did—man, they were cool.” The brothers giggled.
“What are you guys laughing at?” Horatio asked.
“Don’t worry about it, man,” Justin said.
“Yeah,” said Jon, “you got bigger things than that to worry about.”
“Yeah, like what?” Horatio said.
“How about that landing you did, and those glasses?” Jon asked. …
