The two women walked into the cabin and went into the kitchen. Jess opened the refrigerator and took out the six-pack. All of the sudden, there was a noise coming from one of the bedrooms.
“Jess, did you hear that?” Leslie asked.
“Hear what?”
“I heard something in one of the rooms,” Leslie said.
Leslie started to walk out of the kitchen.
“Leslie wait,” Jess said pulling out her gun while trying to stop her friend from leaving the kitchen.
Leslie had taken a few steps when two shots rang out. She turned and looked at Jess, their eyes met and she knew; Leslie had been shot. She fell to the floor, clutching her hand to her chest, her fingers dripping with blood.
Jess crouched down beside her friend. She saw someone run through the cabin.
She stood up with her gun drawn, sure she had an eye on the person in the cabin, but they were too quick for her. They ran out of the back sliding glass doors and towards the lake. Her friend lay on the floor dead, in a pool of her own blood…
