INTRODUCTION AND WELCOME
This handbook of pattern steps does not in any way, replace classes from a CZT (Certified Zentangle® Teacher), nor is it intended to replace the training of a CZT. CZT’s training is the best training available anywhere for this art form.
This is the next volume of my first book “All of the Zentangle® Patterns in The World (that I could find and draw)”. In that book I gave you 1123 patterns and the strokes to draw them. In this book I give you just original patterns invented and created solely by me. My name is Peters P. Jones, please call me Pete.
You will a few of my Zentangle® tiles to see examples of the patterns found in this book… -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- To get the most from the contents of this book you may follow the following steps.
1. Browse FINISHED PATTERNS until you find a pattern of interest. 2. Find that pattern name and page number in the INDEX at the end of the book. 3. Go to that page in the “PATTERNS SHOWN STEP BY STEP” section to learn how to draw it. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Everything in this book was drawn by me. The step-by-step patterns make up the body of this book and are the reason for this book. This is a collection of the steps necessary to draw the patterns. It does not teach the reader how to ‘tangle’. Nor does it teach anything about style, technique, or shading. These are some of the many valuable skills taught in a Certified Zentangle® Teacher’s class and that is the best source of training in this art form.
