Six weeks had passed since the incident, and it seems as if Rolo had succeeded with his plan of blackmailing the man of the cloth. It’s the first regular Sunday worship service since the entire ordeal. Nene is present and Leslia and Sophia as always were in the choir. Pastor walks out dressed in his pastorate black robe. As he walks up behind the pulpit, he sees Rolo sitting on the front row. ”Greetings brothers and sisters!” said Pastor. “It is with such pleasure that I come before you today. I appreciate your support during the media coverage of this case. I’m thankful that you all believed in me and supported my girls whom I love dearly,” he said while glancing at them on the first row of the choir.
“However, there is one person who stood by me in ways in which I cannot explain. I’ve prayed about this long and hard. That person is Rolo. I bare no bones with you about this decision. He is the reason I still have this ministry, my businesses, and good name,” he said while adjusting his handkerchief. Everyone was looking around in the church trying to figure out who it was Pastor mentioned. Rolo had not been seen in ten years in Augusta. Certainly, they wouldn’t expect him anyway.
“Who is it?” whispered Leslia to Sophia. To which she replied, “Hush! Your guess is as good as mine.” Then Pastor looked down at Rolo pointing with his right finger. “That person is Rolo!” “Rolo?” murmured Sophia to Leslia. “Isn’t that the drug dealer daddy ran away ten years ago?” “Yeah!” said Leslia, “but people change. Daddy must know something we don’t. Now quit!” she said as she gently elbowed her sister. Rolo stands up. The applause was conflicting due to the fact that some of the ladies had gotten pregnant by him in the past. “Now!” “Now!” cautioned Pastor. “I know that some of you remember old Rolo, but he has been redeemed. The entire church rose up in praises. Rolo was still standing there dressed in black and white anacondas with a black matching tailor made pin striped suit. He was clapping his hands while looking up into the church ceiling as to appear to be acknowledging the creator. His left and right pinky finger had a gold nugget that glared off the lighting. He even faked tears and wiping them from his face with a Gucci handkerchief. After the praises had calmed a little, Pastor called Rolo up in the pulpit for the commencement of the most daring moment. He puts his right arm around Rolo’s neck. Then he introduced the church to their next deacon. Whispering in the church escalated.
Rolo emotionally throws both arms up into the air, as to act if he’s “surprised”. Everyone else looked shocked. “Has daddy gone crazy?” asked Leslia. “Hush!” said Sophia. “We must honor our father. He’s been threw enough. You need to pray and believe that this is of God. In other words, keep your doubting spirit to yourself. The brother is shedding tears. Have some faith!” said Sophia while gawking at Rolo.
