Abstract:
This “cookery” book is written for the author’s nephew, Brian, who is newly divorced and who has, in a panic, often phoned his uncle seeking answers to cooking problems and food spoilage. There are many young people like Brian – newly disconnected (divorcees or widowers), college students living off-campus, as well as newlyweds. This is a self-help book, a survival kit. It explains how to cook simple, nourishing good-for-you meals that appeal to most young people. It does not intimidate you with lengthy instructions. Everything here is simple and easy, and uses the KISS (‘Keep It Simple, Stupid’) method. Scattered throughout the book are interesting anecdotes, most of which are eye-openers not commonly known to the general public.
