Abstract:
This novel is about a young man, his family, friends, and acquaintances. All of their lives are changed by a tragic incident and a series of related events that take place within a six-month period. It is about how a group of individuals with separate values, aspirations, and outlooks cope with the best and worst life has to offer. Love, compromise, deceit, wealth, power, disillusionment, murder, and joyful celebration are all part of the mix they face head-on with energy, imagination, and enduring self-interest. Sometimes heroic, often comical, and always hopeful, these are people who know how to persevere.
