Abstract:
Nine Lives is the story of six men, two women and a boy, whose lives, for different reasons and in different ways, have gone awry. They come together by chance in the middle of February at a campground in “historic” Edgarsville, North Carolina. They form a baseball team, the "Vikings", and embark on a 45 day idyll that changes their lives. Although baseball is the initial focus, this story is about the triumphs and tragedies of real world people. Through their experiences together, these people grow and learn to deal with their problems.
