Abstract:
The old patriarchal homestead is still standing. The land is still there. The heir doesn't know he owns it yet. For three generations there have only been women in the family. How do the residual spirits atone for their anger, when they discover they can't keep their home themselves? Jason inherits the homestead. At the same time, he meets the girl his ancestors choose to join him on the ranch. That's when the ancestors get carried away. They carry away Jason and Roseanne into times past and future. Old relatives who controlled the lives around themselves for 130 years, turn around and control every movement and thought of the new owners, until they bend to their demands.
