Abstract:
The Best of Nothing is a reflection of the author's journey through a maze of emotional contradictions and professional inconsistencies, sometimes bordering on guarded self examination, even abusive retribution against those most needed and loved.

The Best of Nothing is a desperate search for self worth despite academic and professional accolades too often diminished by a fragmented family life emersed in careful indifference and detached inaction, pushing the author toward subtle desperation, even beyond any reasonable reality until there was nothing left but painful recollections.

Frank Beylo is my grandfather. Since this book is really thick and full of big words, I didn't read all of it. But from what I did read, it was awesome! It talks about how he met my grandma, the war and people who discovered the stars (sorry, I can't remeber what they're called!). Anyways, I think that you people should give this book a try and bet that they will be able to relate to many of the storie and thoughts. Now, I'm not just saying this because he's my Pop-pop, but because I truely believe it. So, if u r reading this, then I hope that u do read it. Thanks! ~Caitlin, 13
