Abstract:
One night I had a strange feeling someone was watching me. I sat straight up in the bed and standing at the foot of the bed was a tall man. This man had shoulder length long black hair, was very tanned, and didn’t have a shirt on only blue jeans. He did not scare me even after he faded into nothing.

A few days later I told my father-in-law all about the apparition that had appeared. I described the man to him. He told me that it sounded like a guy who worked on the farm many years ago.

Months later while my husband and I was standing in our yard we noticed some vehicles pull down by our meadow. Several people had got out of the vehicles. One gentle man was dressed completely in black and wore a black cowboy-type hat. This man was holding a white bag. We thought they were dumping trash out. We went to see what they were up to. The gentleman in black said his father had passed away a few months back and his father’s final request was for his ashes to be scattered on this property because he used to work on this farm and loved being here. So they scattered his ashes and left.

The man that scattered the ashes was tall and had black hair. He kind of resembled the apparition that I had seen. I told my father-in-law about this and we came to the conclusion that the man at the foot of the bed finally came to his final resting place.

I liked this book. I went to school in Athens Ohio and remember all the ghost stories and us kids looking for Simms graveyard. You have been to Southeastern, Ohio than you should pick up a copy and bring back the memories.
