Abstract:
In 1790, a platoon of sixty-six British Hussars was slaughtered twenty miles southeast of present day Calgary. Their bodies were sunk in a small lake where the water takes on a crimson hue. Legend has it, the color came from the crimson uniforms. The ghostly troop terrorizes the countryside around modern day Calgary on full moon evenings.
